I mean, it can be both! But, you know, I think there’s definitely nuance there And it can be very comforting to look at and maybe not necessarily just hot and spicy. I feel that often sexual relationships are often framed, especially in the context of romance, as the only point to them is being titillating or erotic. But for me personally, with this story, I really want the focus to lie in Persephone rediscovering herself, building those relationships and being able to live her life–the escalation of her intimate relationship with her soon to be husband, obviously. ![]() And I absolutely understand why people really like revenge in the sense that it’s very cathartic. From Persephone’s perspective, I think sometimes there is this expectation around that revenge plot line.
